NSS Special Camp ending today

After  7 days' intensive activities, the Special NSS Camp of Salema Class XII School is ending today. About 50 Students of Class XII joined the camp, did many social works, joined activity based seminar, awareness seminar and participated in debate etc. The volunteers saved their money from tiffin and distributed clothes among the poors.

7 Days' NSS Special Camp inaugurated today


Salema: 24 September.
With an enchanting programme amidst hundreds of students of the school, Salema Class XII School has inaugurated a Seven Days’ NSS camp today in its school premises. The Pradhan of the local Nagar Panchayet, Sri Jagat Das was also present at the inauguration ceremony, who lit the traditional lamp. Sri Arabinda Das was the chairperson of the programme. The students who took part in the camp, will take various initiative like organizing Awareness Seminar, Cleanliness Drive and making of Community Toilets  etc. in adjacent areas. Sri Arjun Biswas, NSS Programme Officer and Sri Rubendra Daurai, Headmaster of the School thanked the students for their efforts.

PYKKA SPORTS MEET INAUGURATED TODAY


The much awaited sports event PYKKA (Panchayat Yuva Krida Aur Khel Abhiyan)  (Dhalai District Level Meet-2011) was inaugurated today, on 21 Sept, 2011 at 4pm at Salema Class XII School playground. It was inaugurated by the local MLA, Mr. Prasanta Debbarma, with the presence of Mr. Sudhir Das (MLA), Sailesh Acharjee (Chairperson, Salema Nagar Panchayet) the BDO of Salema Block and many other laudable guests. Athletes from all the four districts of Dhalai participated in it. Various events will be held on 22 September, at the same venue. Students, Media persons, along with the villagers witnessed the enchanting Song and dance programmes, presented by the Students of salema Class XII School.

SCHOOL ORGANISED ADOLESCENT HEALTH AWARENESS SEMINAR


A seminar on Adolescent Health was organized jointly by the PHC (Primary Health Centre), Salema and the Salema Class XII School on 13 September, 2011 from 11 onwards. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Arabinda Das, Upa-Pradhan, Salema Nagar Panchayet. On his speech, the in-charge of Salema PHC Mr. Bidhan Bhowmik stressed on the importance of organizing such a seminar in schools. The students actively took part in it and also attended the questionnaire and Quiz Session. Mr. Anup Debnath, Adolescent Counsellor, and Dr. Sudip Acharjee (Child Specialist) also delivered their valuable speeches on the same occasion. Mr. Rubendra Daurai, Headmaster of the school delivered the concluding speech and thanked the learned guests, teachers and students for attending the seminar. 

Salema School organises Teachers' Day

The Students and teachers of Salema Class XII School, Salema, Dhalai Tripura organises Teachers' Day on 5th Sept, 2011 with flying colours.  As a part of the programme, the students of upper classes had earlier took classes and played the role of teachers on Sat last. The Programme ended on 5th with another gala event which was organised in BRC Hall, with the presence of Students and teachers. The programme was Presided by the Headmaster of the school.
