Salema Class XII School organised an anti-Tobacco Seminar on 19 July with the assistance of the local police station. The Sub Inspector of local thana delivered a speech on the ill effects of tobacco and the legal aspects against tobacco. Then Mrinal Ghosh, PGT English delivered a lecture on Tobacco Consumption and Youth. Smt. Sadhana Debnath, Teachers' Council Secretary of the school also delivered a speech on the topic. All the students and teachers took part in it.
